PSYTRANCE
Projection Installation • Max MSP
As a continuation of Confluence (click to see more), I created this audio-reactive sculpture on Max MSP inspired by visualising sound. In order to experience the piece, audiences are invited to stand close enough to the sculpture that their peripheral vision is only that of the installation and to speak to it. As the visuals change according to sound level, audiences are given a personal connection to the visuals they come across. With the opportunity to be immersed in this world of entrancing kaleidoscopic lines that dance according to the choreography of your sound levels, Psytrance is an exploration of how sound can alter how visuals are perceived and is part of my on-going exploration on the relationship between sound and image.
